The Kingdom of God: 2 - David, Solomon and the Suspended Kingdom

1. In History

In I Samuel 15:28 we read that the kingdom is torn from Saul and given to David, a youthful shepherd who has built up an association with the King of Kings out on his slope, while keeping the rush (Psalm 23). Such a man is fit to govern the general population of God, since God's lead will move through him. More than that, it is his family, the tribe of Judah, of the heritage of Abraham, that had some time before been brought the Christ into the world.

Instantly the Spirit of the Lord exchanges from Saul to David, I Samuel 16:13, demonstrating to us the "convergence" of Heaven and earth afresh in this Kingdom matter. Let nobody reveal to us today that a "natural" kingdom can't likewise be a "wonderful" one. Israel is God's kingdom. Israel is loaded with God. It is superb and it is natural.

2. In Covenant

II Samuel 5:12, David realized that it was the LORD who had built up Him, and that HE had commended the Kingdom for Israel's purpose. This was affirmed to him by direct divine revelation, II Samuel 7: 8 through 16. The extraordinary Davidic contract incorporated a few variables:

a. God's kin Israel will have a lasting spot

b. As opposed to David building God a House, God will construct David "a house".

c. His own particular child (Solomon) will fabricate the sanctuary.

d. God will set up the THRONE of David FOREVER!

e. Despite the fact that Solomon fall flat (and he did!) the MERCY of God won't be taken from David, in order to change the LINE of family line.

f. David's HOUSE (family line) and THRONE (administer) are to be FOREVER

Everlastingly is quite a while. But since the house and the Throne of David will come full circle in the man Christ Jesus, everlastingly is to what extent we will see this guarantee satisfied. David had a child, who had a child, and so on...

3. In Prophecy

A shocking accumulation of writings indisputably demonstrates the association between David's Throne and Christ's, demonstrating that the "crossing point" is to remain, and be an endless thing.
